Skin was the New York side project of *Swans* members Michael Gira and Jarboe. 'Blood, Women, Roses' (1987) featured Jarboe singing lead on covers and original dirges, while 'Shame, Humility, Revenge' (1988) featured Gira. Renamed The World of Skin, the duo closed with 'Ten Songs for Another World' in 1990, a slow, melodic counterweight to the early *Swans* sound, first released through #Product Inc.# and #Young God Records#.
