Sleaford Mods

Sleaford Mods

Sleaford Mods are an English duo known for their abrasive, minimalist musical style and embittered explorations of austerity-era Britain. Formed in Nottingham in 2007, the band consists of vocalist Jason Williamson and, since 2012, instrumentalist Andrew Fearn. Williamson's ranting, spoken-word delivery in his East Midlands accent, combined with Fearn's lo-fi beats, creates a sound they've described as "electronic munt minimalist punk-hop rants for the working class." After a series of self-released albums, they gained wider recognition with 'Austerity Dogs' and 'Divide and Exit'. They later signed with #Rough Trade Records#, releasing acclaimed albums like 'English Tapas' and 'Spare Ribs', solidifying their status as vital political commentators.
