Slipknot

Slipknot

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 1995. Known for their aggressive, Grammy-winning music, chaotic live shows, and attention-grabbing image of wearing masks and jumpsuits, the nine-member group rose to global fame after signing with #Roadrunner Records#. Their 1999 self-titled debut, 'Slipknot', became a multi-platinum landmark in the nu-metal era. The follow-up, 'Iowa', was even darker and heavier, cementing their status as one of modern metal's most significant bands. Despite lineup changes and the tragic deaths of bassist Paul Gray and drummer Joey Jordison, the band continues to evolve, tour globally, and release critically acclaimed albums.
