Biography
The Exploited are a Scottish punk band from Edinburgh, formed in 1978 and led ever since by singer Wattie Buchan, their only constant member. Their 1981 debut 'Punks Not Dead' on #Secret Records# became the defining statement of the UK82 street punk scene, and albums including 'Troops of Tomorrow' and 'Let's Start a War... Said Maggie One Day' mixed hardcore punk with attacks on authority. From 'Death Before Dishonour' onward they moved into crossover thrash, continuing through 'Fuck the System' in 2003, and they remain an active, confrontational live band.
