Biography
English gothic rock band formed in Leeds in 1986 by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams, both formerly of *The Sisters of Mercy*. The Mission's anthemic, romantic take on gothic rock, heard on 'God's Own Medicine', 'Children' and 'Carved in Sand', built a devoted following and a formidable live reputation. After splits in 1996 and 2008, the band reunited with guitarist Simon Hinkler and bassist Craig Adams alongside Hussey, releasing 'The Brightest Light' and 'Another Fall from Grace' in the 2010s.
