Biography
The Music Tapes is Julian Koster's experimental pop and performance art project, built on singing saw, bowed banjo, musique concr猫te and narrative storytelling. With core collaborators Robbie Cucchiaro and Thomas Hughes, its three #Merge Records# albums, 'First Imaginary Symphony for Nomad', 'Music Tapes for Clouds and Tornadoes' and 'Mary's Voice', plus its caroling and lullaby house-show tours, turned the #Elephant 6# ethos into a traveling imaginary world of stories, games and invented instruments.
