Biography
*Pentangle* are a British folk rock band formed in London in 1967 by Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Jacqui McShee, Danny Thompson and Terry Cox. Their intricate twin acoustic guitars, jazz-influenced rhythm section and McShee's clear vocals modernised British folk music, most successfully on 'Basket of Light' (1969). The original lineup split in 1973; a reformed *Pentangle* has continued since the early 1980s with McShee as the only constant member, and the original five reunited for tours in 2008 and 2011.
