Biography
Thee Headcoats was a British garage rock band formed in Chatham in 1989 by Billy Childish with Bruce Brand and John Johnson. Wearing deer-stalker 'headcoats', they recorded prolifically raw 1960s-style garage albums through the 1990s before Childish moved on to *The Buff Medways*. The all-female companion band Thee Headcoatees extended the same raw garage aesthetic across the 1990s. Their records endure.
