Biography
Too Short, born Todd Anthony Shaw on April 28, 1966 in Los Angeles, California, is a pioneering West Coast rapper raised in Oakland. Selling tapes from his car, he broke through with 'Born to Mack' (1987) and the platinum 'Life Is... Too Short' (1988), defining a sparse, explicit style that anticipated gangsta rap. Platinum albums followed through the 1990s, and he later joined the supergroup *Mt. Westmore* while continuing to record and perform.
