Biography
Type O Negative were an American gothic metal band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 1989 by Peter Steele, Kenny Hickey, Josh Silver and Sal Abruscato, and nicknamed the Drab Four. Their slow, heavy sound and Steele's deep baritone carried songs about romance, depression and death, delivered with morbid humour. 'Bloody Kisses' (1993) went platinum and 'October Rust' (1996) gold; Johnny Kelly drummed on the later albums. The band ended after Steele's death in April 2010.
