Album Notes & Community Reviews

Timed perfectly to coincide with their massive 1998 reunion tour, this single-disc retrospective provides a sharp, cohesive overview of the godfathers of gothic rock. The tracks track their evolution from the dub-infused minimalism of 'Bela Lugosi's Dead' to the frantic, Bowie-indebted art-glam of their final recordings. It serves as an absolutely essential primer for understanding the band's theatrical brilliance.
