Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gathering the entirety of the band's pre-Henry Rollins output, 'The First Four Years' documents the volatile origins of Los Angeles hardcore. The compilation collects the iconic 'Nervous Breakdown' and 'Jealous Again' EPs, alongside early singles featuring vocalists Keith Morris, Ron Reyes, and Dez Cadena. Driven by Greg Ginn's frantic, atonal guitar work, it captures the raw, suburban aggression that laid the groundwork for the American DIY punk movement.
