Black Flag

Black Flag is a seminal American hardcore punk band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California, by guitarist/songwriter Greg Ginn. Known for intense, anti-authoritarian, and often sludge-heavy music, they are considered pioneers of hardcore punk and post-hardcore. The band, recognized by its four-bar logo, underwent numerous lineup changes, notably featuring vocalists Keith Morris, Ron Reyes, Dez Cadena, and Henry Rollins during their 1976–1986 run, with Ginn as the sole constant member.
