A I A

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Functioning as a massive double album, 'A I A' packages the two distinct vinyl releases—'Dream Loss' and 'Alien Observer'—into a singular, overwhelming ambient experience. Liz Harris's delicate vocals are buried beneath heavily distorted layers of tape loop hiss, delayed guitar drones, and vast reverberation. The project is celebrated as a pinnacle of contemporary ambient music, invoking profound feelings of isolation, oceanic depth, and spectral melancholy.
