Voyage 34: The Complete Trip

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially released as fragmented 12-inch singles throughout 1992 and 1993, this compilation reunites the four distinct phases of Steven Wilson's conceptual 'Voyage 34' suite. The sprawling, hour-long instrumental piece heavily samples 1960s anti-drug propaganda and blends it with trance-inducing electronic beats and Pink Floyd-esque guitar solos. It serves as a fascinating, highly experimental bridge between the band's early psychedelic pop and their later progressive-rock epics.
