Xylem Tube EP

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Richard D. James delivers a relentless, club-oriented barrage of distorted 909 acid basslines and brutally heavy breakbeats. The tracks reflect the raw, underground intensity of the early 1990s British warehouse rave scene, stripping away his typical ambient melodies in favor of aggressive, narcotic propulsion. The abrasive record serves as a visceral counter-balance to the beautiful electronic tapestries of his 'Selected Ambient Works' era.
