Album Notes & Community Reviews
Dominated by Al Kooper's swirling Hammond organ flourishes, this acerbic piece is widely interpreted as a scathing rebuke of the Greenwich Village folk community. The repetitive strophic structure places the central focus entirely on the relentless, vitriolic lyricism and the sneering vocal delivery.
