Album Notes & Community Reviews
Famous for its chaotic, salvation-army-band instrumentation and ambiguous, highly debated lyrical refrains, this recording epitomizes the artist's mid-sixties electric period. The loose, party-like atmosphere in the studio produced an unconventional, culturally ubiquitous hit that defied standard folk-rock conventions.
