Album Notes & Community Reviews

This double A-side release brilliantly showcases two starkly contrasting elements of William Bevan's production style. 'Claustro' resurrects the propulsive energy of 1990s speed garage, driven by pitched-up R&B vocal fragments and a bouncy, syncopated rhythm. Conversely, 'State Forest' offers an exercise in pure atmospheric dread, relying entirely on creeping, beatless synthesizers and isolating environmental sound design.
