Functioning as a massive rebirth for the band following the infamous murder of founder Euronymous, this EP introduced a significantly more complex and militaristic iteration of their sound. Driven by Blasphemer's dizzying, avant-garde riffing and the return of vocalist Maniac, the tracks abandoned lo-fi atmosphere for hyper-aggressive, technical precision. It boldly redefined the aesthetic of the most notorious group in Norwegian extreme metal.
