Mayhem

Mayhem is a pioneering Norwegian black metal band formed in 1984, whose controversial history and raw, aggressive sound defined the genre's second wave. Their early career was marked by notorious live shows, the 1991 suicide of vocalist *Dead*, and the 1993 murder of guitarist *Euronymous*.
