Album Notes & Community Reviews

This release serves as a crucial transition away from the band's earlier, lighter jangle pop sound toward abrasive, volume-heavy experimentation. The title track famously incorporates an extended, punishing noise section, famously referred to during live performances as 'the holocaust'. It laid the foundational sonic groundwork for the burgeoning shoegaze movement.
