Acting as a blistering advance single for their sophomore album, this release perfectly captured the menacing, pub-rock-infused aggression of the Guilford quartet. Dave Greenfield's swirling organ runs and Jean-Jacques Burnel's violently distorted bass lines forged a sound distinctly heavier than many of their punk contemporaries.
