Album Notes & Community Reviews

Functioning as a fiery protest anthem disguised as a cynical love song, 'You You You' serves as the lead single for their ninth studio album, 'Half-Told Tales'. Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton describe the track as a 'disco-metal incantation', blending a pulsing, Italo disco-inspired beat with heavy, spiraling guitar lines. Lyrically, the song directly addresses systemic anxiety, digital-age tyranny, and the rising costs of survival while preserving their signature dark, dry humor.
