212

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Exploding onto the blog-house scene, '212' samples Jef Barbara's 'Float My Boat' to create an abrasive, relentlessly energetic hip-house instrumental. Banks delivers a masterclass in vocal dexterity, effortlessly switching between vulgar, rapid-fire rap cadences and smooth, melodic sung verses. The track's unapologetic braggadocio and queer sexuality made it an instant, era-defining underground club anthem.
