Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released unexpectedly via Blackdown's Keysound imprint rather than his usual home at Hyperdub, this track marked a stark pivot toward 1990s rave nostalgia. 'Temple Sleeper' discards Burial's typical mournful, ambient-dubstep atmosphere in favor of driving, high-tempo speed garage beats and euphoric, pitched-up vocal samples. The relentless energy serves as an homage to classic UK underground club culture.
