Album Notes & Community Reviews
Originally a 1983 new wave track by the Canadian band Platinum Blonde, this cover became Crystal Castles' most prominent commercial hit. The single release substitutes Ethan Kath's original heavily modulated vocals with a guest performance by Robert Smith of The Cure. Smith's soaring, melancholic delivery perfectly complements the track's aggressively distorted synthesizer pulses and stuttering electro drum beat.
