Biography
Crystal Castles is a Canadian electronic duo known for its chaotic live shows and a unique blend of abrasive, lo-fi electropunk with melancholic synth-pop melodies. Formed by producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass, the band gained notoriety with early singles and their acclaimed 2008 debut album, 'Crystal Castles'. Their sound evolved across two more albums, '(II)' and '(III)', exploring darker, more polished sonic territory. After Glass's departure in 2014, she was replaced by *Edith Frances* for the final album, 'Amnesty (I)', released on Fiction and #Last Gang Records#. The project has been inactive since 2017.
