Album Notes & Community Reviews

A striking contrast to their heavy metal output, this soaring piano ballad became one of the defining mainstream hits of the 2000s. Originally penned by Ben Moody and later elevated by sweeping string arrangements, 'My Immortal' is an ethereal, melancholic meditation on lingering grief and loss that cemented Amy Lee's status as a preeminent pop-rock vocalist.
