Album Notes & Community Reviews

A vibrant, infectious standout of the mid-2010s internet pop wave that playfully samples the soundtrack from the video game 'Mario Kart 64'. Vocalist Sarah Midori Perry seamlessly switches between English and Japanese rapping, delivering whimsical lyrics about self-acceptance and colorful identity. The track helped define Kero Kero Bonito's early, highly synthesized aesthetic before they later transitioned into guitar-oriented indie rock.
