Album Notes & Community Reviews

As one of the project's most enduring and emotionally resonant tracks, the single established a high standard for the alternative rock ballad. The arrangement prioritizes an expansive piano-led build and Eddie Vedder's versatile vocal range, which addresses themes of profound romantic loss and unrequited devotion. Despite the absence of a music video to preserve its artistic integrity, the song became a definitive anchor of the early 90s rock landscape.
