This critically acclaimed double A-side firmly established SOPHIE's tactile, highly synthetic approach to sound design. Rather than relying on traditional samples, the producer used the Elektron Monomachine synthesizer to generate physical modeling tones that emulate the sensation of fizzing bubbles and metallic elasticity. The radical subversion of commercial pop tropes laid foundational groundwork for the hyperpop genre.
