Let It Be / You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

Released as the band's final UK single during their dissolution, 'Let It Be' is a gospel-tinged piano ballad inspired by a dream Paul McCartney had of his deceased mother. George Martin produced the original session, though Phil Spector later infamously overdubbed heavy orchestral and choir arrangements for the album version. The B-side is a bizarre, comedic novelty track pieced together from multiple disjointed studio jams.
