Album Notes & Community Reviews

Opening with a shivering, tremolo-soaked guitar riff, this apocalyptic recording perfectly encapsulated the violent end of the 1960s counterculture despite being issued as a single years later. Merry Clayton's incredibly powerful, voice-cracking guest vocal performance elevated the track into a desperate, terrifyingly urgent meditation on war and societal collapse.
