Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released a day after Brian Jones' death, this single was the first Stones release to feature Mick Taylor on guitar. 'Honky Tonk Women' is anchored by Keith Richards' signature open-G guitar tuning and an unmistakable cowbell groove played by producer Jimmy Miller. The B-side, 'You Can't Always Get What You Want', is a sweeping rock epic utilizing the London Bach Choir to bridge gospel, blues, and late-60s disillusionment.
