Pyramid / When the Poor Can Reach the Moon

Lyrics for Pyramid / When the Poor Can Reach the Moon

There are too many people hurting And not enough people caring But they're learning Who is sharing And they're learning Who is earning 'Cause the web we are weaving is showing That the knowledge is steadily growing We're discerning Who is hoarding And we're learning Who is earning For it's only those criminals hiding From the top of their pyramids chiding "If you start climbing soon We will leave you some room" 'Cause there's too many people hurting And not enough people caring But they're learning Who is earning 'Cause it's frightening And concerning But those millions of people are frail When they try to climb pyramids they fail They fail So why should we climb When it's a waste of our time? Don't ask us to dream Just to be part of your scheme Why should we try When you would just watch us die? Why should we climb When it's a waste of our time? We're all told to crawl While you build pyramids tall The hand we have held (Word's on the web, awareness has spread) Seeing the rich live in dread There'll come a time (We know how you live, understand what you eat) When we won't be too intrigued So why should we climb When it's a waste of our time? Why would we climb When it's a waste of our time? It seems unnatural, so we seek the truth we need To know for sure, at its core, the issue is simple greed And do we battle the billions' need to feed Before we all can go And the poor can reach the moon We'll go When the poor can reach the moon When the ladder's long enough to stay where you're ballooned Everyone with a space suit on just like an old cartoon Then we all can go When the poor can reach the moon We'll go When the poor can reach the moon The moon When the poor can reach the moon When you see them struggling by Look 'em in the eyeOn the moon up there, top of the stair Staring down in wonder when we all can go When the poor can go, we all can go When the poor can go, we all can go When the poor can reach the moon, we'll go When the poor can reach the moon, the moon When the poor can reach the moon, the moon And we'll see them standing Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder at the moon (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder at the moon (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder at the moon (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder at the moon (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder (when the poor can reach the moon) Up there, the top of the stair Staring down in wonder at the moon (when the poor can reach the moon) The moon (when the poor can reach the moon) The moon (when the poor can reach the moon) And I pray we'll see it soon The moon The moon The moon The moon The moon
