Album Notes & Community Reviews

Setting a monolithic standard for New Orleans sludge, this debut relies on overwhelmingly heavy, down-tuned riffing and Kirk Windstein's agonized hardcore shouts. Its bleak, nihilistic tone proved highly influential to the subsequent Southern doom and alternative metal movements.
