Panzerfaust

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Heavily indebted to the sludgy grooves of early Celtic Frost, 'Panzerfaust' combines the raw, freezing aesthetic of Norwegian black metal with the crushing weight of doom metal. The production is notoriously abrasive, featuring blown-out vocals and a distorted, buzzsaw guitar tone that churns out menacing, mid-paced riffs. It stands as a grim, misanthropic statement that slightly diverges from their earlier blast-beat-heavy formula.
