Album Notes & Community Reviews

The formidable avant-garde trio of Kato Hideki, Ikue Mori, and Fred Frith offer a deeply unsettling foray into improvised electroacoustic music[cite: 1]. 'Synaesthesia' extensively utilizes chaotic drum machine programming, dissonant guitar textures, and abstract field recordings to construct a dense, highly anxious dark ambient soundscape[cite: 1].
