Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released while the group was exiled in Italy following the brutal military coup in their homeland, this album became a profound international symbol of Chilean resistance and cultural pride. Utilizing traditional Andean instrumentation such as the charango, quena, and zampo帽a, the stirring, politically charged folk compositions brought global awareness to the South American solidarity movement and the tragic fate of the Allende government.
