Further expanding the bizarre, language-inventing mythology of Kobaïa, Magma's sophomore album heavily incorporated brass sections for a remarkably dense, jazz-fusion-oriented Zeuhl attack. '1001° centigrades' is fiercely energetic and intensely complex, weaving highly progressive, wonderfully manic time signatures into a terrifying, apocalyptic science-fiction rock opera.
