Esoteric Warfare

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The notoriously influential Norwegian black metal pioneers return with their first studio album since the departure of principal songwriter Blasphemer. Introducing guitarist Teloch as the primary composer, the record explores themes of post-Cold War paranoia, mind control, and nuclear warfare. It utilizes an incredibly cold, dissonant, and highly technical approach that alienated purists while satisfying fans of avant-garde extremity.
