Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Cowboys From Hell' is the pivotal release where Pantera entirely abandoned glam metal to introduce their incredibly muscular, aggressive groove metal sound. Dimebag Darrell's iconic, rhythmic riffing and Phil Anselmo's soaring yet angry vocals laid the groundwork for an entire decade of heavy metal.
