Album Notes & Community Reviews

Plasmatics' debut 'New Hope for the Wretched' introduced Wendy O. Williams' destructive stage persona and the band's collision of punk spectacle and heavy rock force. The album's chaotic presentation and transgressive image made it a notorious early-1980s punk-metal crossover document.
