I Buried My Heart Inna Wounded Knee

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This seminal mixtape from the Michigan-based trio functions as a cohesive narrative of rural decay and urban dread. The recording utilizes a blend of slowed-down pop samples and expansive dark ambient pads that helped define the hypnagogic and witch house aesthetics of the early 2010s. It conceptually investigation themes of historical trauma and isolation, prioritize textural density and a persistent sense of atmospheric unease.
