Album Notes & Community Reviews

Introducing Michael McDonald and a young Jeff Porcaro to their revolving cast of elite session players, Steely Dan further polished their impossibly pristine studio aesthetic. 'Katy Lied' is a beautifully warm, highly melodic pop-rock record infused with intensely complex jazz-fusion, delivering wonderfully mellow, deeply rhythmic grooves wrapped in remarkably sarcastic, playful urban lyricism.
