Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a period of immense internal friction that saw members fired mid-session, The Byrds somehow produced their most cohesive, beautifully varied psychedelic statement. 'The Notorious Byrd Brothers' is wonderfully ethereal and highly melodic, perfectly bridging deeply warm, bittersweet folk-rock with remarkably surreal, deeply atmospheric studio effects and early moog synthesis.
