Album Notes & Community Reviews

Transitioning to Columbia Records and expanding their lineup, The Rascals delivered a sprawling double album that radically departed from their hit-making blue-eyed soul origins. 'Peaceful World' finds the group heavily exploring extended, jazz-rock improvisations and socially conscious, groove-oriented jams. The ambitious, improvisational scope of the record bewildered their original pop fanbase but remains a fascinating artistic pivot.
