Recorded heavily in Jamaica as the band attempted to outrun their own notorious decadence, 'Goats Head Soup' is a wonderfully murky, surprisingly tender Stones classic. Anchored by the gorgeous ballad 'Angie', the album balances fiercely energetic, highly sensual rock and roll with beautifully bittersweet, subtly psychedelic explorations of drug-fueled hedonism.
