'Burnin'' captures the original Wailers trio in its final and most militant phase, defined by confrontational anthems like "Get Up, Stand Up" and "I Shot the Sheriff." The album, which was the last to feature the collaborative songwriting of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, fuses raw, Jamaican-produced reggae rhythms with funk-inflected keyboard and guitar overdubs completed in London.
